Missouri Republican candidate for Governor Catherine Hanaway was in Carthage Thursday night (4/28). She spoke to the Jasper County Republican Party Central Committee. News Talk KZRG asked Hanaway her opinion on SJR 39, the religious liberties bill, which was stopped Wednesday in the Missouri House.
“I think what’ll happen is some amendments will be made, maybe address some of the objections of the people on the committee. Hopefully next year, we’ll be sending it out to voters for voters to decide. I think Missouri voters will decide overwhelmingly to protect religious liberties.”
Hanaway also spoke about restoring the Constitution, the importance of adding agriculture jobs in the state and ending lawlessness in Missouri cities.
