This feature is anticipated to function like the voice capability seen in OpenAI's ChatGPT, enabling interactive conversations between users and the AI. In an exciting twist, Meta has reportedly collaborated with an assortment of well-known personalities and influential individuals to incorporate their voices into this new feature, securing agreements with prominent names such as John Cena and Kirsten Bell.

According to reports, Meta's voice mode will feature the voices of five celebrities, including John Cena, Kristen Bell, Judi Dench, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key-Michael Key. Users will have the unique opportunity to engage with Meta AI and hear responses in the voice of their chosen celebrity. In addition to these notable personalities, the platform is also set to offer several standard voice options for users to select from. This new addition is expected to be rolled out on popular platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The announcement for this two-way conversation functionality is expected during Meta's annual Connect conference, which kicks off on Wednesday. Initially, these celebrity voices will be accessible in the US and other English-speaking markets later this week, with plans for a broader release in various regions throughout the year. However, details regarding its availability in India remain unclear.

In a related development, the feature tracker WABetaInfo also noted that WhatsApp is preparing to implement the voice functionality offered by Meta AI. The AI chatbot within the messaging app is likely to support three voices featuring a UK accent, two voices with a US accent, and five voices of public figures. The standard voice options are expected to vary in gender, pitch, and regional accents.

It's worth mentioning that OpenAI has recently enhanced its voice mode during its Spring Update event, introducing advanced features such as emotive voice and responsiveness to user input. Meanwhile, Google has launched its Gemini Live feature, which provides similar functionalities.
